Enjoy an Amazing Experience in an Authentic Farm
Meet our hosts, the Fernandes family and is passion for the land and the farm. The mission is based on the principles of the preservation of Portuguese autochthonous breeds, the correct agricultutre pratices and the preservation of the ecossistems, throught the pratice of sustainable organic farming.
What is included:
- Arrival to the farm and welcome by the farmer
- Guided tour and workshop: sheep, chicken, barn
- Hiking activity (we follow in the footsteps of the shepherd and his flocks, looking for the greener pastures, only small groups)
- Guide tour and workshop: autochthonous chestnuts, mushrooms and trees
- Guide tour and workshop: horticulture and fruticulture harvesting Organic and traditional food tasting
What is not included:
- Lunch in typical restaurant (optional – last option of your booking)
- Starters: bread, alheira, presunto, salpicão, chouriça, etc

Our Producer
Meet our hosts, the Fernandes family and is passion for the land and the farm. Farm History
Our farm is located in the village of Quintela, is a family farm, in the bosom of the Parque Natural de Montesinho, close to the Coroa mountain and bathed by the Tuela river.
Is a heritage farm, dated from de earlys 1900, that is continously been upgrade to provide the best enviorement to assure all good agricultural pratices
Charateristics of the Farm
Currently, the farm counts with 12 hecatres for organic agriculture, this área is divided in multlioe slopes:
- Autochthonous forest, agriculture, horticulture, fruticulture, apiculture, fruit garden
- Animals, sheep parks, henhouse, barns, water springs, well
We have for the main activites the cattle ranching sheep autochthonous race Churra Galega Bragança, chestnuts autochthonous Terra Fria DOP, autochthonous trees, breeds of chickens autochthonous race, hortículture, fruticulture (apple Bravo de Esmolfe and Reineta, pear marmelo), Apiculture, honey and jams.
