O nosso agricultor é uma apicultora e uma apaixonada por cogumelos. Ela cresceu na quinta da família, onde há uma enorme variedade de cogumelos para desfrutar e irá levá-lo para os seus locais favoritos de caça de cogumelos. Ela hospedou-nos esta experiência com o seu amigo Sérgio, um engenheiro florestal e especialista em micologia. Os dois realmente gostam de compartilhar a paixão e a experiência em como procurar cogumelos comestíveis com outras pessoas.

About the farmer:
Our Farmer its a beekeeper and an avid mushroom forager. She grew up at the family’s farm, where there’s a huge variety of mushrooms to enjoy and she is taking you to her favorite mushroom-hunting spots. She is hosting this experience with her friend Sergio, who’s an expert in mushrooms and has extensive experience in foraging wild mushrooms. They both really enjoy sharing the passion and expertise on how to forage edible mushrooms with others.
What you’ll do:
The adventure takes place at the grandparents farm. First you will have a nice breakfast and coffee while Sergio introduces you to the fascinating world of fungi and how to safely forage wild mushrooms. Then we’ll head off into the forest with knives and baskets and we’ll take you to her favorite spots for hunting wild mushrooms. And as we find them, we’ll help you learn to identify and recognise different species of mushrooms. Please be sure to wear appropriate footwear and weather appropriate clothing.
Describe each place you’ll visit on the experience:
The adventure takes place at the farmer grandparents farm which includes a seven hectares forest that has a huge variety of different mushrooms to enjoy. The farm is in Lousa which is 30 minutes away by car from Lisbon and it’s in the countryside. This farm has always been in the family, so she have lots of history and family stories to share.
What should guests bring with them?
We’ll be walking in the woods, so please wear protective clothing and sturdy shoes.
