Highly recommended! Melissa Richardson

This was a highlight of our trip to Portugal. We really enjoyed learning about the property and process of producing olive oil. An amazing experience that was brought to life by the owner of this family run business. Loved learning about the flavors of the olive oil as well as how to taste it. This experience gave me a much deeper appreciation of olive oil and this farm. I highly recommend visiting.

Wonderful experience! Malou Camara

This was such a wonderful experience. Every time I come to Portugal, I make sure to embark on one learning activity so I get to know the country, the people, the culture. The Alentejo fascinates me and the people who live in it are some of the most authentic people I have met in all my travels. João is now part of that group. His vision for his business and the heart, soul and passion he and his family pour into making his Galega olive oil representative of this region's story is something tourists like me support wholeheartedly. I hope to come back again, with the rest of my family next time, and enjoy once more the warm hospitality of the Alentejo people.

It was very enjoyable though and I definitely recommend! Adrien White

Our olive oil farm tour, given by a super nice gentleman and his wife, who does this in addition to their full-time teaching jobs. The farm was small but it was a pleasant drive in the Alentejo to reach it. Basically when we arrived we walked over to a couple olive tree with the couple and they told us all about their farm, how olives are processed, their vision for their brand of organic, high-quality oil, and he walked us right next to the neighbor's field of olive trees, which were not being grown in an organic way and explained to us the differences. I asked lots of questions and they were very patiently answered. We went in November, so there were still olives on the tree that we could see, but they were not harvesting them. After all the discussions and questions, we went to the porch, and tasted the olive oil, then they had bread we could dip it into. We had a nice chat while doing that, then left. We felt very welcomed and I'm so impressed with what they're doing as a "hobby." It was very enjoyable though and I definitely recommend! Quite interesting and the couple were so nice.

This is an amazing experience! Nancy F

This is an amazing experience. “Love is blind” is not just an olive oil tasting, it is a story of passion, both for olive oil, but also for sustainability, Portugal and heritage. You are told a story which lasts two generations, and which we hope continues for much longer.
