Discover the essence of the Douro Valley with a guided visit to a historic wine estate in Armamar, whose origins date back to the 13th century. Your experience begins at the winery, where you will be introduced to the story of the estate, its family heritage, and the winemaking traditions that shape its wines today.
The journey continues through the vineyards by vehicle, following a scenic route across the property that leads to one of the original Pombaline boundary stones from the 1761 Douro Wine Region demarcation. Along the way, take in breathtaking views over the terraced landscape that defines this UNESCO-listed region.
The experience concludes at the estate’s tea house, where you will enjoy a Premium wine tasting, carefully curated to showcase the finest expressions of the property. This relaxed and intimate setting allows you to fully appreciate the wines while learning about grape varieties, aging processes, and the unique terroir of the Douro.
This relaxed and immersive experience lasts approximately 2 hours with plenty of time to enjoy the wines, the landscape, and the stories behind each bottle.

We had a great experience at this Quinta! We arrived unexpected and could still get a tour. The tour is I think the best of the area! You are only with your own group, the guide is very sweet, passionated, and full of knowledge which she gladly shares about the history of the estate till today. After visiting the wine process you have the chance to drive around the wine-yards in their cute little van, where you can enjoy an amazing view of the river and fields! The tour ends with the wine tasting in very cute terrasse somewhere on the estate. We tasted their different wines (not Port wine). We definitely recommend this Quinta to anyone wanting to have a wine tour in the Douro!

The most beautiful Quinta do Douro! Since 1256, producing the best wines from the oldest demarcated region in the world. It is impossible to get to know the Douro without visiting and tasting the wines. The host, Maria João Alves is an authentic ambassador of the Duriense Region!
