Your day begins with pick-up in Porto at 08:30. After a scenic 1h45 drive, we arrive in the charming village of Casal de Loivos, where we visit a restored olive oil mill turned museum. Here, you will learn about the agricultural traditions of the region while tasting three table wines, locally produced olive oil, almonds, and honey.
We then descend to Pinhão for a relaxing 40-minute river cruise along the Douro River. From the water, you’ll admire the iconic terraced vineyards that have shaped this landscape for centuries.
Lunch is served at Quinta de Ventozelo, an estate recognized by National Geographic Traveller in 2021 as one of the world’s top gastronomic experiences. Their “Farm to Fork” concept features seasonal ingredients sourced directly from the property, paired with three estate wines.
In the afternoon, we contrast large-scale production with a boutique family estate during a guided visit and tasting at Quinta Seara D’Ordens, family-owned since 1792. This final tasting highlights small-batch Porto and Douro wines of exceptional quality.
Return to Porto around 19:30 after an immersive, authentic, and sustainable journey through the heart of the Douro Valley.

Yes. Lunch is served at Quinta de Ventozelo and follows a “Farm-to-Fork” concept, using seasonal ingredients from the estate. The meal is paired with three wines from the property.

8. Is the river cruise included?
Yes. The experience includes a 40-minute scenic river cruise in Pinhão along the Douro River.

This experience is designed primarily for adults due to wine tastings. However, children can join private tours upon request. Please contact us before booking.
10. What happens in case of bad weather?
The tour operates year-round. In case of adverse weather conditions, the itinerary may be adjusted to ensure safety and comfort while maintaining the overall experience.

What a wonderful day!!! The amazing Douro Valley in the presence of Sergio was with no doubt the highlight of our trip to Porto. Let me start with the person who offers this unique experience. Sérgio is a super friendly, knowledgeable, and pleasant person. He is kind of a modern encyclopedia, with so much love for what he does and the place he is from. You can truly feel it! I am glad we chose him in his beautiful, sustainable and comfortable Tesla to visit this special place. First of all, I would like to mention we visited places that only Sergio brings us over there as I compared with other tours, so he holds exclusivity, mainly for the restaurant in a famous Quinta in front of the river. Absolutely delicious food with the best view you could imagine, in a super environment and not a rush tour. Must try the flourless chocolate dessert! Secondly, he drives safely and gives us incredible information about the area, the Valley itself, wine and much more. The boat tour was also 5 stars, another perspective to this beautiful place. You have a private tour, or almost, as the car could have 5 people in total. Sergio accommodates our needs and interests very well, being a responsible and reliable professional respecting all the procedures and measurements for Covid. As a Biologist he has a helpful background not only to helps us to understand the Douro Valley but as well in terms of laboratory procedures applied also to this pandemy. His car already had some adjustments for Covid, a temperature check was made and he also gave us a kit with alcohol, a mask, gloves and so on. He is a genuine person with plenty of enthusiasm. We are glad to meet him. Thanks for this fantastic day in our lives, Sérgio! This is a must do experience!
