Tour Description
Douro Wine & Stars is the first and only night-time experience in the Douro Valley, designed for travelers who want something truly different: the Douro by river, by road, by vineyard — and under the stars.
The experience begins in the afternoon with a meeting point in Porto. We head to Pinhão for a relaxing 1-hour boat cruise upstream, where the terraced vineyards reveal their full scale from the water. After the cruise, we drive along the iconic N222 (often described as one of the world’s most scenic roads) toward a vineyard for a guided Port wine tasting and a deeper understanding of the Douro terroir.
As evening sets in, we enjoy dinner at a beautiful estate where local products are the heroes of the menu. Then the magic begins: we drive up to a high viewpoint with exclusive access and set up a telescope for a guided stargazing session. After a short introduction to astronomy and how the equipment works, you’ll observe seasonal night-sky highlights — planets, stars and constellations — depending on visibility, moon phase and time of year.
At the end of the observation session, we return to Porto in the comfort of a Tesla.

Yes. The experience starts in the afternoon and returns to Porto around 00:30, with a dedicated night stargazing session in the Douro Valley.2) What will we see in the sky?
Visible objects depend on the season, moon phase and weather conditions. On clear nights you may observe planets, stars, constellations and other seasonal highlights.3) Do I need to bring equipment?
No. A telescope is provided. You are welcome to bring your own camera, tripod, binoculars or telescope if you wish.4) Is the tour suitable for beginners?
