About the Bee-Hive Expedition Experience
Discover the Bee-Hive Expedition Experience, an educational and immersive tour into the world of bees and beekeeping near Coruche in the Ribatejo region. This 4-hour farm tour is guided by a beekeeping expert who introduces participants to bee behaviour, hive dynamics, and the vital role these pollinators play in our ecosystem.
You’ll learn about the different castes of bees — including the queen, workers and drones — and how each contributes to hive life. Protective beekeeping gear is provided so you can safely get close to the hives and observe the bees in action. Whether you’re curious about pollination, sustainable farming or honey production, this experience offers hands-on learning and deep connection with nature.

- Visit the apiary (with bee suit)

It was a wonderful experience, a day well spent! We almost felt like we had gone on a retreat. The peace of the place, the buzzing of the bees, the taste of delicious honey, the friendliness of Edite and Hernani who welcomed us like family made the experience remarkable. FABULOUS! We went as a family, with our 4 year old son and the attention, friendliness and care they gave us was phenomenal. Our son LOVED it.
