Our Producer
After a long career as consultant winemaker in the main wine-growing regions of Portugal, our producer chose Estremoz to make his own wines, beginning the harvest in 1922.
The wine was produced in rented buildings during the following years until vinification took place in the new estate for the first time in 1997.
The construction of the winery in Estremoz began in that year. Modern touches are harmoniously combined with Portuguese wine-growing tradition at the winery Vila Santa, where grapes for some of the more sophisticated wines are still trodden by foot.
Farm History
The winery has since been enlarged and comprises 9.000 square meters. It features a bottling area, cellars with over 2.000 Portuguese, French, and American oak barrels for aging the wine, and modern vinification technology.
The company built a brand new winery as a testament to our farmer´s strong commitment to the region. This winery quickly became the most sophisticated in Almeirim, with an exemplary bottling and winemaking facility.
