Immerse yourself in tradition with the Reguengos Talha Wines Experience, at the winery in Reguengos de Monsaraz, in the town centre, 30 minutes from Évora. Over 1.5 hours, the visit begins in the educational vineyard, where you’ll discover the main grape varieties used in the wines, then move through the modern winery composed of 44 stainless steel tanks and the archaeology room, showing artefacts found on the estate when the vineyard was first planted, including a Menir almost 5 metres tall. The visit ends at the magnificent Adega dos Potes, a unique winery where 114 clay amphorae are preserved and still used for the production of the estate’s most special wines, finishing with a tasting of 3 clay pot wines. The visit to one of the oldest and most traditional wineries of the Alentejo begins in our educational vineyard, where we discover the main grape varieties that we use in our wines, then we go through the modern winery composed of 44 stainless steel tanks and also the archeology room, where we show all the archaeological artefacts found in the Monte da Ribeira Estate, when we started planting the vineyard, including a Menir with almost 5 meters. The visit ends at the magnificent Adega dos Potes, a unique winery where we preserve and still use 114 clay amphorae for the production of our most special talha wines.

We went with a small group of friends and family, visiting wineries in the region from a base in Evora. This place specializes in classic wines aged in clay amphora, seriously Old School. The tour of the winery was very nice and fun, and tasting after was great. We all enjoyed trying the wines and the people were sincerely welcoming and hospitable.

We had the pleasure to visit there this weekend. The tour and the guide was fantastic. We went through the whole process from grapes to bottle, visited the cellar with aging clay pot wines and finished off the tour with tasting their delicious wines. Definitely will visit again and suggest to friends. Also this adega is in the town centre, so no need to drive anywhere if staying in the town. Super tour!

I came here with a group of friends to taste some wine however we got so much more! They showed us around and taught us about how the wine is made, including their traditional clay pot wine. The woman was excellent. Very friendly and knew a lot about everything. Wine tasted superb too and not badly priced.
