Spend a full day at the harvest with our most complete Alenquer experience, on a family-run estate less than an hour from Lisbon. Guided by the estate’s viticulturist, you’ll walk the vineyard and hand-pick grapes during harvest season, then take part in traditional foot treading — the age-old way of pressing grapes into juice. A wine tourism specialist leads you through the winery before a guided tasting paired with cheese and charcuterie and a visit to the estate’s Wine Shop. The day concludes with a full wine-paired lunch, giving you time to properly settle into the rhythm of harvest season. Available on a handful of fixed dates each August and September, this is the fullest way to experience Portuguese wine harvest tradition near Lisbon.

Itinerary

1. Welcome – Arrival with coffee and an amuse-bouche (9:30am)
2. Vineyard Walk & Harvest – Hand-pick grapes guided by a viticulturist
3. Traditional Treading – Take part in foot treading in the vat
4. Winery Visit – Guided tour with a Wine Tourism specialist
5. Tasting – Wine tasting paired with cheese and charcuterie
6. Wine Shop – Browse and shop estate wines
7. Wine-Paired Lunch – Full lunch at the estate’s Wine Shop & Bar (ends around 4:00pm)
