Enjoy an amazing grape stomping experience close to Peso da Régua! Visit one of the oldest and more emblematic wine estates of the Douro region. A Traditional Grape Treading tour offers visitors a unique, hands-on experience of an age-old winemaking tradition. Guests step into large, shallow stone tanks (lagares) filled with freshly harvested grapes, using their feet to gently crush the fruit, just as generations of winemakers have done for centuries. Accompanied by local experts, the tour includes stories about the history of grape treading, its importance in producing high-quality wines, and a chance to taste the resulting wines. Come and enjoy the Douro’s authentic flavours!

I had a unique and spectacular experience participating in the Harvest (harvesting and stomping grapes). It was made even more special and complete by a delicious breakfast and a spectacular lunch served on a wonderful veranda. I highly recommend this activity because it was a complete interaction with the local wine and food experience. Congratulations to the professionals at this Quinta for the impeccable organization!
