On a fifth-generation farm in Penha Longa, 60 minutes from Porto, strawberries grow the way they were always meant to — slowly, without synthetic chemicals, in soil cared for through regenerative and natural farming practices. This 1.5 to 2-hour experience invites visitors to walk into the strawberry fields and pick the fruit themselves, guided by the farmer, who explains the cultivation process, the importance of biodiversity, and the philosophy of regenerative agriculture. Different strawberry varieties are tasted and compared, revealing a range of flavours that most visitors have never encountered before. Depending on the season, other fruits and edible plants growing on the farm may also be available to explore. Available May to September.
