Did you know that honey bees communicate with each other through dancing? Our farmer is full of fascinating facts to immerse you in the captivating world of this impressive insect.
We are Miguel and Sónia, we are the guardians of this special farm! We’ve been together for about 16 years and we’ve always had this common dream of living on a farm simply and surrounded by animals.
What you will do: after introductions, you will learn about how bees live, work and make honey. This a hands-on experience where you will put on a bee suit and have an up close look at the hives. You ́ll hold a frame of bees and identify workers and drones and try to find the Queen bee. You’ll discover the true importance of the bees for the planet, and then taste different types of honey paired with homemade snacks.
Where you will be: your adventure starts at the farm courtyard, followed by the apiary visit, and then returning to the courtyard to taste some honey..

Good simple fun, the children had the best time. The tour was so informative, and such good value - we got to learn about the bees, visit the hives (with all of the gear on!),and sample the honey!
We did the two hour tour which included visiting the bee hives. It was the best experience and I would highly recommend it. A great experience for the whole family-children and adults alike. I cannot recommend it enough.Go and visit- you won’t be disapponted!!
We were given a tour in English that lasted almot 2 housr and we learned a lot. It was fun both for the adults and the kids! Our famrer was lovely and was great with kids. We got to wear the bee suits and look inside the hives. Was definitely worth it.
