In the private family garden of a historic estate in Bombarral, the winery picnic experience turns a guided visit into an afternoon of unhurried outdoor dining. The 3-hour experience begins with a guided tour of the estate before guests settle into the garden with a fully equipped picnic basket — including a cool bag or ice bucket and corkscrew — and a spread that covers cheese boards, charcuterie, regional bread, croquettes and rissóis, vegetable mini tartlets, cherry tomato and cheese skewers, seasonal fruit, and a slice of family-recipe sponge or chocolate cake. Three wines — white, red, and liqueur — are tasted with commentary throughout. Available Monday to Friday, minimum 10 guests, advance booking required.

Highlights

A Private Garden, Not a Terrace. The picnic takes place in the family garden of the winery estate — a private, green outdoor space that most visitors to the region never see, shared exclusively with your group.
