Enjoy an amazing experience in a hay farm in Penafiel!
Surrounded by green fields, immersed in rurality, our farm are an option for a short break or a longer stay, in rural tourism and holiday homes, in contact with nature, culture and traditions.
At harvest time, the hay harvest is available to anyone who wants to try it.
But there are also kayaks to ride on the Tâmega River. For those who want a more cultural enjoyment, it is good to remember that we are in the center of the Route of the Romanesque and there are historical monuments to visit.
This experience is more of a manual labor activity. Hopefully you will also be able to see the hay being cut. We can explain how we know the hay is ready to be cut and the drying and baling process. Also some explanation about sowing and maintaining the fields.
If visitors wish, they can also help with storing part of it in our barns (manual work).
