Over 2 hours, after a safety introduction at the sanctuary, step into the field and choose the horse that attracts you most — or be chosen by one. Take the horse on a lead and walk together through the beautiful hills, with a break halfway through to sip your own drink before heading back. This is a walk with rescue horses, guiding you into your own power by taking the horse on a lead. Walking with horses has everything to do with clear and gentle communication, and this experience helps you establish that. Horses are mirrors of the soul and reflect your actual state of being. For some, the reflection is a real eye opener; for others, the walk is pure pleasure. This experience is especially suitable for people who are or have been afraid of horses but would love to get (back) in touch with them. After the safety introduction at the sanctuary, you step into the field and choose the horse that attracts you most, or you are chosen by a horse. While walking, the host may reflect on things noticed in you while being with a horse — an insightful experience for many.

One of, if not our favourite activity we have ever had on a vacation. It was such an amazing experience to spend a few hours with these incredible animals. We learned so much about horses and about ourselves. The best part about it is the fact that you are helping a beautiful cause that makes a huge difference in these animals lives. So lovely to see given each of their stories that they have a wonderful life now!

The horse walk was very enjoyable. The host is very personable and took an interest in us and our life, as well as sharing some of his story about how he came to found this rescue. He told us about each of the horses and gave us some tips on how best to walk with and control them. The area itself has lots of scrub so if you go make sure to wear long pants and a decent pair of shoes. The horses are friendly and walked well with us. We had a great time and would reccommend.
