Enjoy a Private Pastel de Nata Cooking Class in Lagos with local chef!

Some experiences are simply better in private. This exclusive 2-hour cooking class in Lagos puts a dedicated local chef at your group’s disposal — with the full studio reserved just for you and up to 9 of your guests. You’ll make authentic Pastel de Nata entirely from scratch: laminating the pastry dough, preparing the traditional custard, filling the shells, and baking to that signature caramelised finish. No experience required, no minimum group size, and a flexible schedule that works around you. The €799 flat rate covers the entire group — making this one of the most memorable and genuinely good-value private food experiences in the Algarve.

Highlights

The Entire Studio Is Yours — No Strangers, No Shared Tables Unlike the group class, this experience gives your party exclusive use of the cooking studio for the full 2 hours. No other participants, no waiting your turn, no adapting to a group you don’t know. Just your group, your chef, and your Pastel de Nata. It’s the difference between a cooking class and a genuinely personal culinary experience.

A Dedicated Chef Who Focuses Only on Your Group The private format means your chef is with your group from start to finish — not splitting attention across multiple tables. Whether you have questions about the recipe, need a technique demonstrated twice, or simply want to move at your own pace, the chef adapts entirely to you. Reviews consistently highlight the instructors as the heart of the experience.

Flexible Scheduling — Book the Time That Suits You Private classes run daily at 10AM and 3PM, with other times available on request. This flexibility makes the private class ideal for groups with fixed travel schedules, families with young children, or anyone who wants to plan their Lagos day around the experience rather than the other way around.

fun local family activiity Ayrel Gonzalez

Our family of 5 (2 adults, 3 kids - 14, 11, 6) booked the pastel de nata cooking class last minute and are so glad it worked out. It was probably one of highlights of our travels in Portugal. Jo, the chef, was very engaging and knowledgeable and did a great job explaining each step. Our kids had a blast and we were all so thrilled with the final product - it didn’t last long, we ate everything all up. Would love to try another cooking class with Jo and would recommend to anyone traveling in the Lagos area.
