Taste the delicious Madeira Cherries in one of the last cherry farm of the island!
At the end of the last century, the Neto family acquired a property known as Levadas, measuring around 1 ha. In 2004, this property began the conversion process to an Organic Farm. Since then, we have essentially dedicated ourselves to producing and selling the most delicious fruits that the Madeira highlands have to offer.
We are also cider producers for several generations and we believe that the best way to perpetuate this tradition is by promoting its consumption, which is why we include it in all our experiences.
What is included
- Arrival at the farm and welcome by the producer

- Workshop on cherry production, harvesting and selection in MPB (organic production method)
- Pick your own cherries
- Tasting of regional cherry varieties, cider/water and homemade jam

When I was growing up, one the real luxuries we had at Christmas was cherries. In Perth they were very expensive, so now that I live in Portugal I still regard cherries as a luxury, but they are affordable. We took some overseas guests to the Madeira Cherry Farm, and they loved it. You can eat as many cherries as you want as you pick. It's a lot of fun and its an activity where kids can join in. Thank you!
A Cherry Buffet!! Fabulous day with 6 teenagers, 4 adults and 2 seniors. All had a wonderful time!
